LIFEGUARD
May 2014Â - September 2016
As a certified lifeguard at Dulaney Swim Club in Maryland, I used my training to ensure the safety of all patrons at the pool. Aside from spending my time in the chair, IÂ also helped to maintain the cleanliness and proper chemical elements of the pool.
HOSPITAL INTERN
August 2016Â - May 2017
My senior year of high school, IÂ spent my time after school as a volunteer at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore Maryland. I worked in the CDCR unit (cardiac diagnostic cath recovery) and interacted with patients, doctors, nurses, and other hospital staff to aid the unit and keep it running smoothly. I answered the phones, made patient charts, made calls to discharge patients, took family members back to their patients, and updated the surgery board as needed. By the end of my time at Sinai I had had so many amazing experiences, but my favorite must be the multiple open heart surgeries I was fortunate enough to be invited to scrub in for.
